Euler Motors announced on Monday the debut of its Euler Turbo EV 1000, the world's first 1-tonne electric mini-truck, marking a new chapter in India's small commercial vehicle segment. Priced at Rs 5.99 lakh, the innovative model aims to meet diverse logistics industry demands.
The company foresees robust growth in electric vehicle adoption, driven by encouraging state and national transport policies alongside evolving GST norms. These factors are expected to transform fleet economics across Indian cities. Euler Motors Founder and CEO, Saurav Kumar, highlighted the vehicle's potential to influence the electric four-wheel commercial vehicle market, currently at 2% penetration.
Kumar also noted the rapid adoption of electric variants among small commercial vehicles, buoyed by the success of electric three-wheelers. While plans for an IPO remain undefined, the company is well-funded, bolstered by a Rs 525 crore investment for a 32.5% stake from Hero MotoCorp earlier this year.
