British Prime Minister Keir Starmer received the 'Living Bridge' honor for advocating stronger bilateral ties and securing the India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The ceremony took place at the House of Lords, with Minister Seema Malhotra accepting the honor on Starmer's behalf.
The Living Bridge Awards, hosted by India Business Group (IBG), also acknowledged the contributions of New Delhi-based GMR Group, businessman G P Hinduja, KPMG UK chair Bina Mehta, and the University of Southampton. The awards celebrate those enhancing the UK-India relationship.
The India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) aims to double bilateral trade to USD 120 billion by 2030. The initiative is expected to unlock new business opportunities and growth, furthering the prosperous bond between the two nations.
