Aluminium prices increased by 65 paise to reach Rs 262.45 per kilogram in futures trading on Monday. This rise was attributed to speculators entering new positions, indicating a positive trend in the spot market.

The Multi Commodity Exchange noted a 0.25 per cent increase in aluminium for delivery in November, with 397 lots changing hands.

Analysts attribute this uptick to fresh positions taken by traders, spurred by healthy demand from consuming industries, which has bolstered aluminium prices in the futures market.
