The India Maritime Week (IMW) 2025 is poised to become a significant platform for maritime industry stakeholders worldwide. Scheduled for October 27-31, the event will see participation from more than 100 countries, with a focus on partnerships and generating investments worth Rs 10 lakh crore in maritime and allied sectors, according to JNPA Chairman Unmesh Sharad Wagh.

IMW serves as the flagship event for the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, with JNPA being its biggest stakeholder. The biennial event aims to showcase India's rapid progress in maritime infrastructure, ports, and inland waterways. 'We want to highlight our achievements in these sectors as part of our vision for a developed India by 2047,' Wagh stated during a media tour organized by the Press Information Bureau.

The summit aims to attract green players across the shipping lines and ports sectors and will feature state-level discussions, panel sessions on logistics and infrastructure, and a special focus on women in maritime. JNPA, recognized as India's biggest container port, is also expanding its operations to include new dry ports at Jalna and Wardha.
