Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced a milestone achievement in its production history, with an unprecedented 23.4 lakh units manufactured in the fiscal year 2025-26. According to the company's statement on Thursday, this achievement is a first among Suzuki Motor Corporation's global manufacturing facilities.
Key models propelling this success include the Dzire, Fronx, Swift, Ertiga, and Baleno, each surpassing the 2 lakh units mark. Managing Director and CEO Hisashi Takeuchi remarked on this accomplishment as a testament to building a robust automobile ecosystem over decades, matching the evolving needs of their customers.
The company plans to amplify its production to an annual capacity of 40 lakh units, fueled by a new fifth facility in Sanand, Gujarat. With existing plants in Haryana and Gujarat, Maruti Suzuki aims to consolidate India's position as a major player in the global automotive export market, leveraging Suzuki Motor Corporation's confidence in India's growth.
