The Vijayawada Railway Division has reached a milestone, generating the highest-ever ticket-checking revenue of Rs 10 crore in the first 22 days of April 2026.
This record-setting figure also makes the division the top earner in the South Central Railway Zone for monthly ticket-checking income, as confirmed by a press release on Thursday.
The substantial revenue was primarily attributed to fines from ticketless travel, irregular journeys, and unbooked luggage, outpacing the previous October 2025 record of Rs 8.5 crore.
