Empowering Women: Adani Foundation's New Centre in MP Spurs Economic Independence

In Badarwas, Madhya Pradesh, the Adani Foundation's new initiative is paving the way for economic empowerment among women. The Adani Vikas Kendra, situated in Shivpuri district, offers structured work opportunities through the Swabhimaan programme, poised to connect one million women in India with sustainable livelihoods.
Operational in a 48,000-square-foot space, the Kendra is equipped with 600 sewing machines, providing both training and production facilities. It promises to support around 1,500 women as they transition to stable income ventures, cultivating self-reliance and community upliftment.
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia emphasized the transformative aspirations of the project during its inauguration. The initiative seeks to improve household income and reduce migration dependence, reflecting Adani Foundation's commitment to empowering women and celebrating its three decades of inclusive development efforts. Dr. Abhishek Lakhtakia highlighted that this approach enables women to achieve financial independence and stronger societal roles.
