Amidst growing concerns over a fuel shortage, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has taken decisive action to address the escalating crisis impacting the state's fuel supply chain. A teleconference with Chief Secretary Sai Prasad and senior officials revealed that 421 out of 4,510 fuel stations have shut down due to prevailing shortage conditions.

The Chief Minister, before his departure from Mumbai to Amaravati, instructed officials to swiftly implement remedies to mitigate public inconvenience. As stated in an official press release on Sunday, measures are being prioritized to tackle the 10 percent increased supply yet unmet demand due to heightened consumer panic buying.

Stepping up the state's coordinated response, Naidu ordered collaboration with district collectors and fisheries department authorities, highlighting the urgency imposed by significant bulk purchases within the aqua sector. Officials are tasked to compile a progress report on the enacted strategies to restore normalcy across fuel outlets.
