Nayab Singh Saini, Chief Minister of Haryana, emphasized the critical role of the labour force in the state's growth during a Labour Awareness Programme. He announced the creation of a State Social Security Board to extend welfare measures to organised workers, including auto drivers.

Saini highlighted the government's commitment to labour welfare by implementing a 35% increase in minimum wages, raising them to Rs 19,425. Additionally, Rs 40 crores have been transferred directly to beneficiaries under various labour welfare schemes.

Further bolstering worker benefits, initiatives like the Employees' State Insurance Scheme and a 'Safe Worker Health System' have been introduced. These include comprehensive health services and upgraded medical facilities, underscoring the state's dedication to its workforce.
