Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has taken a significant step by appointing Sanjay Jamuar as the first CEO of the newly formed Delhi Metro International Limited (DMIL). This move is poised to extend the metro network's reach beyond Delhi, into other parts of India and overseas.
DMIL's creation, supported by the government, marks an ambition to handle metro projects and provide operational, maintenance, and advisory services globally. Drawing from DMRC's established expertise, the new entity is set to expand its footprint in the international arena.
Jamuar, who has an impressive background with Indian Railways and international assignments, returns to DMRC after first joining it in 1998. His leadership is anticipated to bolster DMRC's global consultancy and project management endeavors.
