Emergency Landing: Air India Flight Faces Technical Snag

A Bhopal-bound Air India flight originating from Mumbai, carrying 175 individuals, executed a priority landing on Sunday due to a technical snag, according to airport officials.

The aircraft touched down safely at Bhopal airport at 3:20 pm, yet the return flight to Mumbai with 178 passengers was subsequently canceled. Air India flight AI 633 reported the issue to Air Traffic Control (ATC), resulting in the activation of safety protocols and coordination among ATC, airline ground operations, CISF, and the airport fire and rescue team.

An AAI-run Bhopal airport statement clarified that the aircraft was declared unserviceable due to the technical fault. Consequently, Air India canceled the return flight AI-634 as a precautionary step to allow for a detailed inspection and rectification.
