A 16-year-old boy was killed in a tragic accident on the Hennur–Bagalur road after being hit by a private bus, police reported.
Identified as Varun, the boy was crossing the road on foot around 11:30 am when the bus allegedly struck him, pulling him under its rear wheel.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead on arrival. In response, family members and locals staged a protest, blocking the road and causing significant traffic congestion. Authorities have detained the bus driver as they continue their investigation.
