A small airplane with five occupants crashed into a building on Monday in Belo Horizonte, southeastern Brazil, leading to three deaths, officials and firefighters reported.
The fire department stated that both the pilot and co-pilot perished in the crash. Initially, three passengers were seriously injured and taken to a hospital. One passenger later died, while the other two remain hospitalized in stable condition.
No residents were injured, and the building sustained no structural damage, according to the fire department. The aircraft had just departed from Pampulha Airport bound for Sao Paulo before it crashed moments later into a three-story residential building.
