Trimex Foods has secured franchise rights to launch Panda Express in India, with plans to open 100 stores through a $54 million investment, starting in Delhi NCR. This move marks a strategic expansion for the American Chinese restaurant brand in India's booming dining market.
Trimex Foods has announced securing franchise rights for Panda Express, a renowned American Chinese dining brand, in India. The multi-brand restaurant operator plans to establish 100 Panda Express outlets with a substantial investment of Rs 400 crore, beginning with Delhi NCR, and then moving into major metros and emerging cities.
According to Doug Stalgren, spokesperson for Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., this strategic collaboration aligns with their efforts for global expansion, capitalizing on India's dynamic restaurant industry. This alliance marks a significant step forward in offering Indian consumers a taste of Panda Express' unique blend of Chinese-inspired recipes mixed with American hospitality.
Established in 1983 by Andrew and Dr Peggy Cherng, Panda Express currently boasts over 2,600 restaurants across 12 countries, achieving an annual turnover exceeding USD 6 billion. With this venture, Panda Express is poised to become an influential player in India's diverse and competitive restaurant market.
