A couple on motorcycle who fell on the road here when a bike crashed into them were run over by another vehicle, killing them both, police said on Saturday. Three men on the second bike were also seriously injured in the accident near Narayan Bhandsar village. According to police, Brijesh (34), a resident of Nebua, and his wife Priyanka (27) were returning home after withdrawing money from a bank in Naurangiya market. Another motorcycle carrying three youths -- Vinay, Satendra and Chinku -- allegedly collided with their bike while overtaking. Both motorcycles lost control and fell on the road, when an unidentified vehicle coming from Naurangiya towards Khadda ran over them. Police said the impact of the collision was so severe that Brijesh and Priyanka died on the spot, while the three youths sustained serious injuries. Locals and police personnel rushed the injured to the Community Health Centre in Kotwa Bazaar by ambulance. The bodies of the deceased couple were sent for post-mortem examination. Nebua Naurangiya Station House Officer Chandrabhushan Prajapati said efforts are underway to trace the unidentified vehicle and its driver.
