The incident occurred around 3 a.m. at Rajupalem Centre within Ulavapadu limits, as stated by Prakasam District SP V Harsha Vardhan Raju. Upon detecting the fire after a tyre burst, the driver skillfully managed an orderly evacuation.
Despite the blaze destroying the vehicle later, no injuries were reported. Passengers were safely transferred to other buses for their onward journeys. This incident is part of a worrying trend, as recent bus accidents in the region have claimed 45 lives.
