Swift Action Averts Disaster in Rajdhani Express Blaze

A fire broke out in the AC coach of the Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district early Sunday. No casualties were reported in the incident, which occurred at 5:15 am within the Kota division of railways.

The blaze erupted in the B-1 coach, carrying 68 passengers. Emergency protocols were immediately implemented, according to Sourabh Jain, a senior railways commercial manager. Authorities detached the affected coach and turned off the overhead electric supply to maintain safety standards.

All passengers were safely evacuated without injuries and were accommodated in other coaches for their onward journey to Kota. The railway announced plans to add an extra coach at Kota station to restore full service capacity. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
