Zydus Wellness Navigates Profit Slump Amid Rising Expenses
Zydus Wellness reported a 5.75% decline in net profit for Q4 2026, attributed to increased expenses and taxes. Despite a rise in total revenue, the company's annual profit also fell. A final dividend of Rs 1.20 per share was recommended, pending shareholder approval.
Zydus Wellness Ltd reported a 5.75% decline in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. This downturn was primarily due to higher expenses and increased tax outlays, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing on Monday.
Despite the dip in profit, the company saw a significant jump in total revenue from operations, reaching Rs 1,484.7 crore compared to Rs 913.1 crore in the same period last year. However, the rise in operational costs to Rs 1,308.6 crore from Rs 740.5 crore offset these gains.
For the entire fiscal year 2026, Zydus Wellness recorded a consolidated net profit of Rs 197.2 crore, a decrease from Rs 346.9 crore in the preceding year. The board has proposed a final dividend of Rs 1.20 per equity share, pending shareholders' approval during the meeting held on May 18, 2026.
