Three men were killed and another seriously injured after a car they were travelling in rammed into a wall and overturned, police said on Thursday.
The accident took place late Wednesday night near the Lekhpal Bhawan at Balua Pokhara in the Ghosi Police Station area.
The four were headed towards Ghosi when their car, allegedly speeding, went out of control and crashed into the wall of a house before falling into a roadside ditch, the police said.
Locals rushed the injured to the Community Health Centre in Ghosi, where doctors declared three of them dead.
The deceased were identified as Riyaz Ahmad, 26, a resident of Nawapura, Ramashish Yadav, 28, of Itaura Kopaganj and Rahul Yadav, 30, police said.
Akash Yadav, a 25-year-old native of Jamalpur village, was referred to a higher medical centre after his condition was stated to be critical.
Circle Officer Jitendra Kumar said the collision left the car severely mangled.
