JSW Steel has officially begun work on a major new steel facility in Odisha, planning a phased investment of Rs 65,000 crore to achieve a production capacity of 13.2 million tonnes annually. This marks one of the company's largest investment endeavors to date.
The integrated steel plant will be constructed in stages at Paradeep, utilizing a 2,950-acre site. Its strategic location along Odisha's coast provides excellent port connectivity, access to raw materials, and efficient logistics, positioning it well for both domestic and international distribution.
The inauguration event, featuring Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, along with senior officials from the state government and JSW Group, confirmed the project's significant economic potential for the region.
