Haryana Set to Lead with India's First Hydrogen Train

Haryana is poised to make history as the Railway Ministry has authorized the operation of India's inaugural hydrogen-fueled train. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini expressed appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, highlighting that this advancement will lend India a distinct identity in environmentally friendly transportation.

The 10-coach train will travel the Jind-Sonipat route, showcasing Distributed Power Rolling Stock technology. Its hydrogen fuel cells will replace conventional diesel, boasting a power output of 1,200 kilowatts. Saini remarked that under Modi's leadership, Haryana is advancing swiftly in technology and infrastructure, making this project a pioneering step.

Expected to run at a maximum speed of 75 kmph, the train stands as an emblem of India's commitment to modern public transport solutions. Saini stated that this initiative marks a crucial point in Haryana's journey toward becoming a hub of clean rail technology. As further technical and safety clearances are secured, the state is set to benefit from enhanced industrial growth and investment.
