Banxico Adjusts Economic Forecast Amid Unchanged Inflation Projections

The Bank of Mexico, often referred to as Banxico, has revised its economic forecast for this year, trimming the growth estimate to 1.1% from an earlier 1.6%, as outlined in its latest quarterly report.

In a slight shift, Banxico also adjusted the growth outlook for 2027, setting it at 2.1%.

Despite these changes, projections for average annual headline and core inflation rates for the end of 2026 have been maintained at 3.5% and 3.4%, respectively, offering a steady outlook amid economic adjustments.
