Schneider Electric Infrastructure reported a notable 60% decline in net profit for the March quarter, resulting in Rs 21.97 crore, largely due to certain exceptional items. Compared to the previous year's Rs 54.61 crore, this dip highlights current market challenges.
Despite the profit decline, the company's total income increased slightly to Rs 594.36 crore from Rs 592.60 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. The fiscal year's net profit also dropped by 20.7% to Rs 212.56 crore, with market volatility being a significant factor.
In an effort to strengthen leadership, Schneider Electric's board has extended Udai Singh's role as Managing Director and CEO for another three years, starting September 15, 2026, pending shareholder approval.
The company continued to show resilience despite external pressures, with a small growth in orders and a marginal decline in PBT before exceptional items, attributed to an adverse revenue mix and fluctuations in commodity prices.
