On Wednesday, authorities ordered the closure of educational institutions across three key border districts in Kashmir. This preventive step comes in the wake of Indian armed forces launching missile strikes on terror targets in both Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, officials reported.
Kashmir University announced that all its exams slated for the day have been postponed, with new dates to be announced later, according to a university spokesperson. The Cluster University also deferred its exams.
Divisional Commissioner Vijay Kumar Bidhuri stated that all schools and colleges in Baramulla, Kupwara, and Bandipora's Gurez district remain closed due to the current situation. The public has been advised to stay alert and adhere to official advisories as a precaution. Some schools near Srinagar airport are also closed for safety reasons following retaliatory strikes for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the loss of 26 civilian lives.
