Ishika Bala, a determined student from Gundahur village in Chhattisgarh, overcame blood cancer to become the state topper in the Class 10 board exam with 99.17%. Despite her health challenges, Ishika maintained her focus on academics and dreams of becoming an IAS officer.

Ishika Bala, who remarkably topped the Chhattisgarh Class 10 board exam, has fought a tough battle against blood cancer for two years. Due to her illness, she missed the exams last year, yet her indomitable spirit was unshaken.
The young academic from Government Higher Secondary School in Gundahur village, Kanker district, shares the top position with Naman Kumar Khuntia. From a humble family in Paralkot Village, destined for greatness, Ishika aims to become an IAS officer, motivated by her challenging journey.
Diagnosed in November 2023, Ishika's family recalls her courage during her treatment at a private hospital in Raipur. She plans to pursue engineering and further the UPSC exam, fueled by her family's unwavering support and her own steadfast commitment.
