Prakash Mahajan of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) urged unity among Marathi language defenders against the Hindi imposition in schools, as outlined in the government's three-language formula.
Following a recent state directive that introduced Hindi as a third language option in Marathi and English medium schools, a debate has intensified in Maharashtra.
Despite assurances that Hindi won't be mandatory, Mahajan stressed the need for Marathi protectors, such as Shiv Sena UBT and MNS, to ally and more powerfully contest this language policy.
