Rahul Gandhi, leader of Congress, has launched a scathing attack on the BJP's education policies, alleging that they undermine the rights of underprivileged children, particularly from SC, ST, and OBC communities. He pointed to the significant decline in government schools and student enrolment figures as evidence of the detrimental effects of these policies.

Gandhi shared data on social media showing an 8 per cent decrease in government schools alongside a 14.9 per cent increase in private schools within a decade. He also cited reports of significant drops in the enrolment of SC, ST, and OBC students over the last year, attributing this to BJP's governance in states like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam.

Emphasizing the constitutional right to education, Gandhi condemned the closure of over 84,000 government schools since 2014. Despite protests from students and teachers, he claims the government continues to dismantle the education system. He urges for an inclusive, accessible, and quality education framework for all children.
