Delhi University's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB) has launched its undergraduate admissions for the academic year, featuring 15,200 seats spread across 26 centers. This initiative targets women unable to attend regular college due to personal, social, or financial barriers, facilitating flexible and affordable higher education.
NCWEB, open exclusively to women residing in Delhi, offers two undergraduate programs: BA (Programme) and B.Com. The admission process is grounded in merit, based on Class 12 marks, diverging from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Registration remains open for three weeks.
Emphasizing its societal impact, NCWEB Director Professor Geeta Bhatt remarked, "This institution is a beacon of hope for girls overcoming financial and social challenges, echoing the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative." Established in 1944, NCWEB now serves over 31,000 students, offering weekend classes and financial aid, promoting dignity and independence for women.
