This event highlighted the essential role these centers play in providing joyful learning experiences for children, according to an official statement.
The occasion marked the 50th anniversary of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), with the Key Education Foundation (KEF) orchestrating the event. The focus was on emphasizing the role of anganwadis, which are government-led women and childcare centers, in supporting joyful learning for young children aged 3 to 6 years, an official stated on Tuesday.
Rashmi Arun Shami, the additional chief secretary of the Women and Child Development department, underscored the significance of play in learning. She pointed out that anganwadi centers are pivotal for enhancing children's developmental stages. Chhatarpur, an aspirational district in Madhya Pradesh, is witnessing significant advancements in early childhood education thanks to collaborative efforts from the Department of Women and Child Development and KEF.
