Rahul Gandhi, a prominent Congress leader, launched a scathing critique of the Modi administration on Friday, claiming deliberate negligence in filling reserved teaching positions for SCs, STs, and OBCs in central universities. He labeled it a 'well-planned conspiracy' aimed at sidelining 'Bahujans' from academia and influencing research and policy formulation.

Gandhi highlighted shocking statistics, revealing that an overwhelming majority of reserved posts for professors in these universities remain unoccupied, further asserting this as evidence of institutionalized discrimination, which he described as 'Manuism'. In central universities, 83% of professor positions for STs, 80% for OBCs, and 64% for SCs are intentionally vacant, according to Gandhi.

Demonstrating his demand for immediate action, he called for the government to fill these vacancies without delay and to safeguard the rights of 'Bahujans', dismissing what he called the 'Manuwadi boycott'. He underlined that these positions should not be left vacant under claims of 'Not Found Suitable'.
