Rajasthan Human Rights Commission Reacts to Suicide Attempt at Banasthali Vidyapith

The Rajasthan Human Rights Commission (RHRC) has launched an inquiry following media reports of an alleged suicide attempt by a student at Banasthali Vidyapith, Rajasthan's prestigious women's university.

The RHRC's chairman, Justice G R Moolchandani, expressed deep concern and has sought immediate reports from the Tonk district authorities and university representatives, emphasizing that student safety is paramount.

Despite the grave nature of the incident, it remains shrouded in mystery, with no first information report (FIR) filed or public details on the student's condition. This lack of transparency has sparked further scrutiny into Banasthali Vidyapith's management practices.
