Union Education Minister Lays Foundations for Eco-Friendly Campus at Central University of Punjab

In a historic step towards sustainable education infrastructure, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan virtually inaugurated Rs 200 crore worth of projects at Central University of Punjab in Bathinda. The occasion was marked by celebrations of the National Education Policy's fifth anniversary.
During the Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Samagam 2025 in Delhi, Pradhan highlighted how the National Education Policy 2020 is transforming India, stressing improvements in rural education through initiatives like the NIPUN Bharat Mission. The event underscored the integration of holistic education reforms.
The new facilities, which include academic blocks and hostels, are built under GRIHA-IV sustainable standards, featuring state-of-the-art green technologies. Vice-Chancellor Prof Raghavendra P Tiwari emphasized that these developments will elevate CU Punjab to a global education hub.
