The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) presented their comprehensive report detailing key initiatives taken during their tenure leading the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU). Among the notable achievements were the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) and substantial roles in advocating for women's safety and opposing unjust fee hikes.
Secretary Mitravinda Karanwal, alongside other office bearers, elaborated on their contributions, which included aiding the rollout of a four-year undergraduate program and the establishment of new campus infrastructure. They also emphasized their success in resolving over 4,000 student grievances through direct intervention and campus campaigns.
Despite these accomplishments, the ABVP-led DUSU faced challenges, notably opposing a proposed Rs 1 lakh bond and indirect election processes. As they look to the future elections, scheduled for September 18, they aim to retain influential positions while navigating newly set university guidelines designed to prevent public defacement.
