Students at Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) in Mesra organized a protest on Thursday, reacting to reports of an attack on a female student.
The incident allegedly occurred on Wednesday when unidentified individuals assaulted an MBA student with a blade, leaving her injured. Yet, as of Thursday afternoon, no official complaint had been reported to the police, according to officials.
Local law enforcement, led by BIT Mesra outpost in-charge Sanjeev Kumar, is currently examining CCTV footage for potential leads, while the victim receives medical treatment on campus. Authorities await a formal FIR to proceed with legal action.
