Fake Admission Fiasco: Woman Nabbed for Tampering MBBS Documents

A female candidate was detained after facing allegations of presenting fake documents during the initial counseling session for the MBBS batch of 2025 at AIIMS, Bilaspur, according to police reports on Friday.

The management at AIIMS, Bilaspur, found discrepancies in her documents during verification. This led to a police complaint, resulting in her arrest. She confessed to altering her rank card and allotment letter during preliminary investigations.

Ankita Bharti, the accused, hailing from Lakhisarai district in Bihar, presented false credentials to support her candidacy. The Medical Counselling Committee identified irregularities after matching the information with their records, culminating in the realization that she had significantly lower marks than claimed.
