On Thursday, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood took a significant step toward educational reform by inaugurating the city's first NIPUN Shala. Nestled in Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Janakpuri, this initiative is part of the NIPUN Sankalp Yojana, designed to boost foundational literacy and numeracy skills among schoolchildren.

The inauguration aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, observed as 'Seva Pakhwada'. Supported by the Rotary Club, the initiative targets students from Classes 1 to 8, aiming to enhance their reading, writing, and mathematical abilities. The event also saw attendance from several resident welfare association representatives.

Minister Sood highlighted the plan to certify all Delhi government schools as NIPUN schools within three years, focusing on enhanced learning outcomes. The BJP government aims to transform schools into smart schools, with 21,000 classrooms already equipped with smart boards, and plans are underway to provide Chromebooks and AI-integrated tools to uplift the city's educational landscape.
