Deakin University and VIT Launch Pioneering Dual Degree in Cyber Security

In a significant advancement for higher education, Deakin University in Australia and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in India have teamed up to offer a dual degree program in Cyber Security. This collaboration embraces the strengths of both institutions, allowing ambitious Indian students to earn a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) from VIT Chennai and a Bachelor of Cyber Security (Honours) from Deakin University.

The program is part of a longstanding partnership between the two universities and aims to equip students with cutting-edge skills in computer science, network security, and data protection. By completing their studies at both campuses, students will gain a comprehensive education that includes advanced coursework in cybersecurity systems, governance, and digital forensics at Deakin University, Australia.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. G. V. Selvam of VIT and Professor Bas Baskaran of Deakin University highlighted the collaboration's significance in providing students with globally recognized qualifications and preparing them to lead in a technology-driven world.
