The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged Thursday that delays in textbook distribution are affecting students in several Municipal Corporation of Delhi schools. A primary school in Shalimar Bagh is reportedly among those yet to receive academic materials, despite the new session's commencement.
AAP officials, visiting an MCD school in the Keshav Puram zone, promised to raise the issue in the Standing Committee, urging immediate action to distribute the necessary learning resources. Meanwhile, BJP leaders described the supply process, citing phased deliveries due to consignment schedules from various publishers.
BJP representative Yogesh Verma assured that a 'book bank' system from previous years temporarily supports studies. Nevertheless, political tensions endure between AAP and BJP concerning public services in Delhi, including education.
