The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has approached the Supreme Court alleging systematic failures in the NEET-UG 2026 exam for undergraduate medical courses. The appeal follows the exam's cancellation after a suspected paper leak, which the CBI is now investigating.

Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on May 3, the NEET-UG exam faced allegations when reports of 'guess papers' matching over 100 questions surfaced. In response, FAIMA, represented by lawyer Tanvi Dubey, is urging the court for systemic reforms, including replacing the NTA with a technologically advanced, autonomous body.

The petition also requests a high-level monitoring committee, chaired by a retired Supreme Court judge, with cybersecurity and forensic experts, to oversee the exam's re-conduct. This action aims to reassure over 22 lakh medical aspirants concerned about rescheduled exams and counselling timelines.
