The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the class 12 exam results on Wednesday, with over 85% of candidates successfully passing this year.

The results highlighted a slight decrease in the overall pass rate, which is over three percentage points lower than last year, as confirmed by Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj. Notably, girls surpassed boys with an excellent 88.86% pass rate, compared to 82.13% for boys, while transgender candidates achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate.

This year marked the introduction of 'On Screen Marking' (OSM), with around 70,000 evaluators digitally assessing 98,66,622 answer books. Students who need to improve their scores can take the supplementary exams on July 15. Results are available on cbse.gov.in and DigiLocker.
