Iconic action star Jackie Chan has expressed concerns about the current state of Hollywood stunt work, highlighting the diminished sense of realism due to the heavy reliance on computer-generated imagery (CGI).

Chan, renowned for executing his own stunts, shared that while technology enables actors to attempt scenes previously deemed impossible, it also detaches the audience from the perceived danger, making the excitement feel artificial. However, he is not advocating for actors to undertake risky stunts, as he did during his career. He views technology as a 'double-edged sword'.

The 71-year-old star, famous for films like 'Drunken Master' and 'Rush Hour', plans to continue doing his stunts, which he sees as part of his identity. He is set to appear in 'Karate Kid: Legends', reprising his role from the 2010 remake, due for release on May 30.
