Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd's flagship brand, Club Mahindra, has taken a significant step towards enhancing gender diversity and female empowerment by converting its Acacia Palms resort in Goa into an entirely women-run facility. This groundbreaking initiative makes Acacia Palms the first such property in the Club Mahindra portfolio.
To support this initiative, the company is focusing on internal leadership development and has introduced a 'Learning Management System' aimed at enhancing skills and capabilities, with plans to extend women leadership across more resorts. In collaboration with local women entrepreneurs and artisans, Club Mahindra is integrating community-driven offerings to aid sustainable development.
MHRIL Managing Director and CEO Manoj Bhat emphasized the company's dedication to gender diversity. The Acacia Palms resort employs 75 women who manage all roles, from security to food production. Chief Human Resources Officer Tanvi Choksi highlighted the intent to reshape hospitality norms by promoting women in traditionally male-dominated fields.
