Tragic Incident on Pilgrimage: Elderly Woman Killed by Boulder in Uttarakhand

An unfortunate incident occurred when an elderly woman from Gujarat died due to a boulder strike during her pilgrimage to a holy site in Uttarakhand. The accident took place on Monday afternoon in Jolingkong, authorities reported.

The victim, identified as 64-year-old Sanwala Devyani, was on a spiritual journey to the Adi Kailash peak, a revered location in Indian Hinduism as the supposed dwelling of Lord Shiva.

Local police have informed her relatives, and the body has been dispatched to Dharchula for autopsy examination. Officials are awaiting the arrival of her family from Gujarat to proceed with further formalities.
