During his two-day London visit, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal honored the victims of the Ahmedabad-London plane crash by leading a minute's silence at the India Global Forum UK-India Week stage.

Goyal engaged in discussions with UK officials, including Business and Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds, to emphasize the necessity for stricter airline safety protocols following the crash that claimed 270 lives. He also reaffirmed the ongoing efforts towards a comprehensive UK-India Free Trade Agreement.

The minister's visit also included a meeting with UK Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy, where they discussed enhancing cultural and creative ties as part of the bilateral relationship.
