Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spotlighting Suma Uike from Balaghat district on his 'Mann Ki Baat' program. Uike, associated with a self-help group, is making notable strides in mushroom farming and animal husbandry.
Yadav emphasized that under PM Modi's leadership, the state government is actively driving change to empower women, youth, impoverished communities, and farmers, encouraging them towards self-reliance. The recent mention of Madhya Pradesh's achievements has invigorated local enthusiasm.
According to a government release, Suma Uike of Bhajiyapar village in Katangi block has increased her income through her involvement with the self-help group, leading to new initiatives such as thermal therapy and Didi Canteen. CM Yadav and BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma listened to the Mann Ki Baat broadcast at a local BJP leader's residence.
