Nandankanan Zoo Celebrates Birth of Seven Yellow Anacondas

Nandankanan Zoological Park has announced the birth of seven yellow anacondas, underscoring a milestone in their conservation efforts. According to officials, these reptiles were transferred from the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust in October 2019, with the last breeding occurring in July 2022.
The zoo now boasts a collection of two adult males, two adult females, and ten young anacondas, with hopes of further expansion as another snake is expected to give birth soon.
This marks a significant achievement in advancing the park's mission to safeguard and nurture these South American natives, predominantly found in Bolivia, Paraguay, and Brazil.
