Tragedy Strikes Sivakasi: Fatal Blast at Firecracker Factory

A sudden explosion rocked a firecracker manufacturing factory in Sivakasi, resulting in the deaths of at least five workers, including two women, according to police reports.

The raging fire gutted the factory unit, leaving many workers injured and emitting smoke that was visible from far off. Emergency crews swiftly responded, transporting the injured to a nearby hospital.

Fire and rescue officials have contained the blaze and are now focused on clearing debris. Revenue and police officials have begun an investigation into the incident at the private facility located in Chinnakamanpatti, near Sivakasi.
