Madhya Pradesh has initiated a new policy to encourage organ donation by providing a guard of honour during the last rites of those who donate their body or organs. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.
In addition to this, family members of donors will receive recognition on Republic Day or Independence Day, reflecting the state government's aim to highlight the significance of such donations.
Instructions have been issued across the state's administrative divisions to ensure compliance, with Commissioners, District Magistrates, and Police officials tasked with implementing this homage to donors.
