In a move to enhance healthcare and sports infrastructure in Mizoram, state minister Lalngihnglova Hmar has urged the central government to establish a 30-bed hospital under the Employees State Insurance (ESI) scheme.
During discussions with Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi, Hmar highlighted the urgent need for such facilities. He also appealed to Mandaviya to consider relaxing norms to expedite the hospital's establishment.
The Minister, who oversees sports and youth services, underscored Mizoram's requirement for a stadium that would elevate its sports infrastructure to meet competitive standards with other states. Mandaviya assured constructive measures, including designating a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) to aid in these developments.
