A rare .45 Webley Mark V revolver, initially crafted in Britain in 1914, has found a new home at the Border Security Force's Central School of Weapons and Tactics museum in Indore, courtesy of the family of late Jharkhand businessman Sitaram Rungta.
Despite being valued at several crores in the global antique weapons market, the revolver was donated by Sitaram's son, Nandlal Rungta, with a vision to eternalize his father's memory. The donation was facilitated by Ajay Kumar Jain, president of the All India BSF Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association.
The museum, known for its extensive collection of nearly 300 rare weapons from different eras, serves to educate future generations about the history of weaponry. The facility was established in 1967 under the guidance of BSF's first Director General, KF Rustamji.
